A comprehensive Food Processing Complex embracing Rice bran oil, Maize and its derivatives and
Biscuit & Confectionary manufacturing is presently under implementation in Bhagalpur District of Bihar with an capital outlay of about Rs. 100 Crores.
The proposed manufacturing facility is being set-up at Village: Kahalgaon, 30 KMs from Bhagalpur on NH-80 and on the bank of river Ganga, rich fertile
region of Bihar and is strategically located having easy access to north-east India, Nepal, etc. as well as to Bangladesh. It is 270 KM from Patna thru
NH 80 and 31.
Already 30 acres of land has been acquired and balance 20 Acres are in pipeline. The financial closure for the Unit is already completed. The site
development work is going on and we are soon going to commence the civil construction work.
The Food Complex will comprise of three Units for processing plant for maize, Biscuit & Confectionary manufacturing unit and Rice Bran Oil Extraction
Plant. A long-term strategic alliance is under finalization with ITC for setting-up of a 25,000
TPA Biscuit & Confectionary Unit at the same location.
In Odisha, looking into the bright prospects of Food & Agro Processing industry, the following manufacturing facilities are envisaged:
• A modern Biscuit, confectionary and Ready-to-Eat Food Unit is planned near Bhubaneswar and
• A Maize Processing Unit is being planned in southern Odisha, where abundant quantity of Maize is available.
